Great voice.  This is a great example of a band I discovered in the 2000’s and was like, “when the hell did this band happen?!”

Terrible video!  Loved this song when I was in 4th grade or so.  Thanks largely to Dumb & Dumber.

Another great song that I’m convinced is about heroin.

Chicks rule!  Just us girls trying to find our place in a male-dominated society!

Music videos used to be fun to watch.

Speaking of Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, I too was once into pop-hook-laden punk rock with a sense of humor.  This is a video from a once-favorite band of mine, The Vandals, doing a song from a movie I’ve never seen but which stars Sam Rockwell, Ben Afleck, and French Stewart.  Note to self: why haven’t I seen Glory Daze?

-Luke

I just dared to re-visit this band, one that I have not listened to a great deal of since high school, and was both relieved and slightly worried to find that I still have a gigantic soft spot for them.  They are just too much goddamn fun.

Anyway, this is the ACTUAL OFFICIAL VIDEO which causes me to feel…well, thrilled, but also somewhat offended.

Ahhhh, so many conflicting emotions!  Fuck!

I really can’t stress this enough: Marcy Playground has some fantastic songs other than “Sex and Candy”.  I PROMISE.  I love this band so much it isn’t in the least bit funny, but mostly I appreciate them for how stupidly 90’s they are.

I remember hearing this song on the ride home from church every Sunday when it was dominating the top ten songs on Casey Kasem’s countdown every week.  I still get pretty psyched every time I hear it.

-Melissa

Luke claims that he’s not at all familiar with this song, which causes me to have serious doubts about whether he actually existed during the 90’s.

I’ve learned to look past it, but sometimes I’m just like WAIT SERIOUSLY?!  THIS IS SOME CLASSIC 90’S SHIT RIGHT HERE.  Come onnnnn.
